Location Highlights
Madison, Wisconsin offers access to Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, with the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus and the State Capitol both located near downtown. The city includes more than 200 miles of biking and hiking trails, and Devil’s Lake State Park is about 45 miles northwest for hiking, climbing, and lake access. Travelers can visit the Henry Vilas Zoo and Olbrich Botanical Gardens within the city, while the Capitol Square provides dining, events, and a central gathering point.
